William Lacey Harris 1815-1902
William Lacey Harris (1815 – 23 Feb 1902) was married to Sallie Stennie (??), he was my GGGGrandfather. I have him listed on a 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870 census form, his father was Peter Harris, Mother Elizabeth Spain.
Was his name William Lacy Harris? minor difference yes but I cannot find his grave/death certs.
Note: Many have him married to Minerva Cox. Looking at the dates from the 1870 Census and all the info I can this just doesn’t make sense knowing the dates of his kids and his wife Sallie. Sallie Stennie of course is also not fully verified. It could be Stinnett or some other spelling. I do not care for how early (1800’s) census forms where in some places, the list it in an odd way.
William has the following kids:
