Was driving drunk when he hit headon with another car killi ng his mother in law, Ruthie Jane Harris Casteel. Her nec k was severed. He sustained only a bump on the head. Ruth ie was holding his child who fell into the floor and was no t injuredat all. The rest of the family was in the back o f the pickup truck and sustained no serious injuries. My mo ther, Virginia Powers, wife of Ruthie's son Curtis Elmore H arris, states that even though Jack McNabb was drinking h e stayed in his lane. The other driver swerved because th e last thing Mrs. Casteel said was "That fool's going to ki ll somebody". He swerved and hit their truck and then bega n walking down the road. He was so drunk he didn't even kn ow that he had caused the accident. Don't know who this pe rson was though. Will have to research the papers. Jack wa s a thief. He would steal anything from anybody. (Virgini a Powers/sister-in-law)

Nelius was the son of Jasper Casteel who married Ruthy Harr is, the mother of Zory.
He made moonshine whiskey. He asked Curt Harris to assis t him in pouring out the mash because the revenuers were co ming and he needed to get rid of the evidence. He used to p aint the jugs white so that he could deliver moonshine in t he open because people would think it was milk.
