Marriage Bond - The Commonwealth Of Kentucky
Be it known that we Jonathan Smith as principal and M. e. B ooher as surety are joining and severally bound to the Comm onwealth of Kentucky in the sum of One Hundred Dollars. Th e condition of this bond is as follows: That, whereas, Mar riage is intended to be solemnized between the above boun d Mr. Jonathan Smith and wife M. e. Booher Now if there i s no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage this bond shal l be void, otherwise it shall remain in full force and effe ct.
Dated at Albany, Clinton County, this 26th day of October , 1881 by Jonathan Smith and M. e. Booher. Attest: B. P . Harrison Clerk, Clinton County, Kentucky.
Married by L.S. Shelley, Methodist Minister at his home i n the Illwill Community .
Witnesses were Jesse Irby and John Johnston. Had twelve ch ildren. Seven were alive at the time of her death. (Ben, Tr oy, and Earl's twin were already deceased, but there has ne ver been any mention of the other two). Left KY in 1888 an d moved to Texas. Moved to Ardmore OK area in 1893. Moved t o H astings OK in 1907.
